Desmond Cusick's Diary

I finally managed to meet up with Darla today, even if it was for so brief a time. She is enjoying her new apartment. I regret that I never get to visit her anymore.

It is a foolish notion, perhaps, but lately, I have been considering taking a brief vacation. I'm sure I could dig up a work-related reason to get out of Bleaker for a week. Of course, if I left now, with the Meridian in its current volatile state, there is no telling what would happen in my absence. I could come back to find that I had been supplanted. I could not bring Ilse with me, as I doubt she would be willing to leave the clinic for a week.

Workaholics, the both of us.

Desmond and Darla finally get to meet up and briefly discuss the impending date with Angelo. Desmond promises to set up a meeting between Darla and Ingrid so that the caracal can be coached. Darla shows support for Ilse and Desmond.

Ilse was able to make it to the meeting with Darla after all. It went very well, and things will be put into motion next week.

I can hardly wait.

Ilse, Darla, and Desmond all meet to discuss the plan to sneak Darla into Fenrir's Children to corrupt Angelo.

There is so much to do today, and I have only barely begun.

I finally managed to find the time to visit Darla today, and I posed the plan to her. She seems willing enough, but then I expected no less from her. If she has any concerns, they will be addressed tomorrow, when we meet with Ilse in the Mossy Gem to discuss the matter further. It seems things are finally moving in a forward direction for me, and for that I am thankful.

If Darla approaches Angelo in the dress she showed me this evening, she will have no problems in bringing him to his knees. The boy stands no chance at all . . . and that brings a grin to my face. I do so love it when I stand on the brink of a villainous scheme.

I am on my way now to visit Earl Demetrius Sharpe, who was kind enough to give me an audience on such short notice. He will be pleased to hear that his replacement shipments are on their way.

Desmond goes to Lady Fortune's to visit Darla. He informs her of the basic plot--to sway Angelo to their side--and she agrees to help.
